I am a mac user and a web developer and at work I use safari on a pc with vista, personally I noticed a few early bugs but since the upgrades i've had no problems with it. Why not put safari on pcs? I think this article reads too much into it... Yeah sure it will have security issues just like everything else, but safari renders so much smoother than any other browser and is ahead of any other browser so far as supporting things like elements of css3 plus its the quickest browser out there! Safari has my vote.

I wouldnt worry too much right now about Safari security on Windows PCs.
I have been trying to install it since it was as offered as a "beta".
I have never experienced anything like the touble I am having with this ALPHA release.
All in all, I think this browser is so bad on Vista that no Vista user would consider switching to any Appple product. Frankly, I always felt Apple was on a higher plane then Windows. Between the security issues and glitches, well....just another giant corporation I guess.

I give up. A search will quickly show you the frustraton the users are experiencing.

You claim: "Security researchers and hackers, who have always been annoyed with Apple’s arrogant claims of security, now have direct access to pound on Apple software"

I ask: it was so hard for them to pound on Apple software just because it was only on Mac, before? They were so annoyed but none of them could afford access to a Mac? Does not make sense.
