Two M.2 slots and 32GB of single-channel DDR4

The M9 runs the Intel Processor N100, a quad-core Alder Lake-N chip that replaced the Celeron and Pentium parts in this price tier. Memory sits in one SO-DIMM slot and runs in a single channel, and the board takes up to 32GB of DDR4, which covers browsing, office work, and video playback.

Graphics come from the Intel UHD block inside the N100, which is enough for 4K playback and older or lighter games. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 handle wireless peripherals, and the two HDMI outputs drive a pair of 4K 60Hz displays.

Storage runs from two M.2 slots, one for an NVMe drive and one for an M.2 2242 SATA SSD. There is no bay for a 2.5-inch drive. The case measures 4.44 by 4.13 by 1.65 inches and ships with a VESA mount, so it can hang behind a monitor or sit in an entertainment center.

Reviewer Insights

The M9 runs Intel’s Processor N100, the 6-watt quad-core Alder Lake-N part that launched in early 2023 (PassMark rates it near 5,643, and the newer N150 refresh only nudges that figure up).

Robtech: strong single-thread scores, weak graphics

Robtech’s review opens on the build, calling it “a damn fine-looking mini PC” with a “pristine CNC-cut metal case,” and treats the 2.5 gigabit LAN and dual M.2 slots as differentiators in the budget space. Robtech recorded 9 watts at idle and 34 watts under load at the wall, with fan noise rising only from 29 dBA at idle to 32 dBA under load (taken 30cm away against a 29 dBA room floor). Both the CPU and the bundled Kioxia NVMe SSD topped out at 76C in a 21C room, so nothing ran hot enough to throttle.

On the benchmark charts the N100 posted Cinebench R23 scores of 921 single-core and 2,899 multi-core (353 and 1,092 in R20), single-thread numbers strong enough that Robtech said the chip “dominates completely” there against the older Pentium and Celeron units he lined it up against. Graphics were the weaker leg, as expected from the 24-EU integrated UHD, at 1,184 graphics in 3DMark Fire Strike and 334 in Time Spy. Robtech tied that to the single memory slot, noting the N100 can only run single-channel here and that there is no way to confirm the penalty without testing an N100 with dual-channel memory. Valorant at 1080p Low still held mostly above 60 FPS, and emulation up to GameCube and PS2 was partly playable rather than full-speed. His verdict was that the M9 leaves “more things to like” than not in the budget bracket.

ETA Prime: playable at 720p, near 60 FPS in PS2 emulation

In his hands-on, ETA Prime’s wall meter read about 4 watts at idle and peaked near 18 watts with the CPU and GPU fully loaded; he noted the chip itself caps out around 9 watts across all four cores, so “adding any more wattage to it really isn’t gonna help out.” Temperatures stayed mild, from 39C at idle to 71C during a Cinebench R23 run, and the fan “really doesn’t get that loud.” Running a single channel of DDR4-3200, the cores held roughly 2.85 to 3.0 GHz on the desktop, and Geekbench 5 returned 960 single-core and 2,658 multi-core.

ETA Prime measured 4,536 in 3DMark Night Raid and 2,929 in Wild Life, then ran through games: Skyrim at 720p Low held a 60 FPS average, Half-Life 2 at 1080p High cleared 120 FPS, and GTA V at 720p Low managed only about 33 FPS. Emulation was the highlight, with PSP, GameCube (F-Zero GX), and PS2 (Gran Turismo 4) titles all sitting near 60 FPS, while heavier Wii U games such as Bayonetta 2 fluctuated in the 44 to 55 FPS range. A 4K 60fps YouTube clip dropped only 12 frames across its run. His read on the single-channel RAM matched Robtech’s, since “it does help out with iGPU performance” and he wished for a second slot. For “low power consumption, super small form factor” use like web browsing, 4K video, and document editing, the M9 is “something that I could recommend,” while triple-A gaming is “just not going to cut it.”

Customer Reviews

A verified buyer named Peter T. Moore, who replaced a 10-year-old Dell, wrote that “This computer is very powerful, fast, quiet, and small,” and Robert M, also a verified purchaser, called it a “Quick Windows 11 Pro PC, good for office tasks, NOT a gaming machine.” Verified buyer Jeff J set expectations around the N100 itself, noting that the machine handles any single task well but “once you start trying to do more than one thing at a time, the CPU pegs at 100% and things start to slow down a little bit.” One verified reviewer ran Ubuntu Studio on it for audio work and called it “an astounding value for the price.”

The recurring complaint is Windows activation. The one-star reviews cluster here: verified buyer Z titled their review “garbage” and said it “Would not activate windows, therefore useless,” and another buyer reported the activation process failing on a gift unit. Owners who hit this resolved it by contacting Morefine support over email or chat, though it took a day’s wait in several cases. If you buy one, expect that you may need to reach out to the manufacturer for a working activation code.

Choose it for desk work and 4K video, skip it for games

The 2.5 gigabit LAN and the pair of M.2 slots leave room to add storage or move to a faster network drop later, and the barebones kit lets a builder pick the RAM and SSD. Web browsing, document editing, and 4K playback are all within reach of the Intel N100 running Windows 11 Pro.

Buyers who want stronger graphics or a USB-C port should look elsewhere. Single-channel memory holds the integrated UHD back, and newer AAA titles stay out of reach even with the settings dropped.

A configuration with an Intel Core i5-1340P and Iris Xe graphics covers heavier work if the N100 is too little chip. For something smaller from the same maker, the MOREFINE M6S packs similar Intel N100 performance into a tiny 2.83-inch cube.
