TRIGKEY Green G5

The TRIGKEY Green G5 is a compact mini PC for everyday computing. The Intel 12th Generation Alder Lake N100 processor inside covers office productivity, multimedia streaming, light photo and video work, and some casual gaming. TRIGKEY is a brand closely related to the established Beelink.

The Green G5 has two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports, which suits it to pfSense firewalls and home network servers. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 handle the wireless side.

The TRIGKEY Green G5 is built around Intel’s Alder Lake-N100 processor. This 12th generation chip has four efficiency cores running at up to 3.4GHz and a standard TDP of 6 watts, and it is made on Intel’s “Intel 7” process. The processor includes Intel UHD Graphics with 24 execution units, capable of 4K video playback at 60Hz with AV1 codec support, which covers media center duty or digital signage.

Memory is DDR5 SODIMM running at 4800MHz, roughly 50% more bandwidth than DDR4. Two variants ship: an 8GB model for basic computing tasks and a 16GB model for heavier multitasking. Storage is a 500GB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD with read speeds around 800MB/s. Adding a 2.5-inch SATA HDD or SSD takes total storage up to 2TB.

The port selection is broad for a budget mini PC. Dedicated English-language reviews of the exact Green G5 (the N100 model with dual 2.5G Ethernet) are scarce. The Intel N100 launched in early 2023 as part of the Alder Lake-N family, and it carries a PassMark multi-thread score around 5,305. By 2026 it is no longer the newest budget chip, since Intel’s N150 has since edged ahead.

Teardown and Bench Testing from Yoshida Seisakusho

The most data-rich look at this unit comes from a teardown-and-benchmark video by the Japanese tech channel Yoshida Seisakusho, who bought the Green G5 specifically to test its dual 2.5G ports as a DIY NAS. The on-screen wattmeter read about 2.2 watts in standby, roughly 12.3 watts at idle in Windows, and around 22 to 23 watts at full system load. Under a sustained all-core load the on-screen monitoring showed the four cores sitting in the low 80s Celsius and peaking at 84 degrees, warm but within spec for this class of cooler. The benchmark readouts on screen included a Cinebench R23 multi-core score of 2,940 and a Cinebench R15 multi-core score of 491. CrystalDiskMark put the bundled M.2 NVMe drive at about 838MB/s sequential read and 868MB/s sequential write, which the video attributes to the slot running at PCIe 3.0 x1 rather than a wider link. Over the dual 2.5G network the box managed roughly 292MB/s in a NAS transfer test, effectively saturating the 2.5GbE link. The teardown also showed Crucial-branded DDR5-4800 memory and a dual copper heat-pipe cooler.

A Hands-On Look at Emulation

An Italian hands-on review put the 16GB Green G5 through retro-game emulation. Running the PS2 emulator PCSX2, Spider-Man held a locked “100% (60.00 FPS)” at native resolution, and Nintendo 64 titles including Ocarina of Time and Banjo-Tooie ran smoothly under Mupen64Plus. The N100 is comfortable with older-console emulation up to PS2-era titles at native resolution.

NotebookCheck’s Related G4 Analysis

While NotebookCheck reviewed the closely related Trigkey G4 rather than the Green G5, their lab numbers provide useful platform context since both devices use the same N100. NotebookCheck’s review gave the G4 a 70.1% score and measured a Cinebench R20 multi-core result of 1,138 points, a Geekbench 5.5 multi-core result of 2,796 points, and a 3DMark 11 score of 6,129 points, alongside praise for the compact 272-gram chassis, the bundled Windows 11 Pro, and Wi-Fi 6. They also flagged the usual N100 caveats: single-channel memory and soldered, non-upgradeable components. Those figures belong to the G4, which ships with a single Gigabit LAN port (a Realtek controller), so the Green G5’s dual 2.5G Ethernet is an upgrade over the reviewed unit even though the CPU is identical.

The Green G5’s Amazon listing is no longer active, but a couple of verified-owner reviews remain worth reading. Dual 2.5GbE is the reason to hunt one down second-hand

The dual 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports are the reason to want a Green G5. As a pfSense firewall, a home network server, or a DIY NAS it saturates its 2.5GbE link while the whole box draws 22 to 23 watts at full load and about 2.2 watts in standby on the wattmeter one reviewer kept on screen, and the N100 inside is the same chip found in many budget mini PCs. Video editing, 3D rendering, and modern games are past what the integrated UHD graphics can manage, and the single RAM slot caps the machine at 16GB. With no active Amazon listing, it is a second-hand buy.
