The MINISFORUM UM750 Neo is a small Windows desktop for office work, schoolwork, and a living room TV, and it runs AMD’s Ryzen Z1, a chip AMD built for handheld gaming PCs. Its 16GB of LPDDR5 is soldered to the board in both configurations, so buy it only if 16GB will cover your work for years. Storage has two M.2 slots with room for up to 8TB. Minisforum sells it with either a 500GB or a 1TB SSD. Minisforum announced the UM750 Neo at IFA 2026 and began selling it in September 2026.

Ports, memory, and storage

The chassis measures about 5.1 x 5 x 1.9 inches and weighs about 1.3 pounds, with a large hexagonal vent grille on the side. The front carries the power button, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports (10Gbps), a combo audio jack, and a reset hole. Everything else is on the back: the 19V barrel jack for the 65W adapter, the USB4 port, two USB 2.0 ports, a 2.5GbE port on a Realtek RTL8125BG controller, DisplayPort 1.4, and HDMI 2.1.

The rear USB4 port carries 40Gbps data and DisplayPort output up to 8K at 60Hz or 4K at 120Hz, and it accepts 65 to 100W of USB-C power, so a monitor or dock with power delivery can run the machine over one cable. It can also supply 15W to a portable display. HDMI 2.1 drives 4K at 60Hz and DisplayPort 1.4 drives 4K at 120Hz, and all three outputs can run at the same time.

The 16GB of LPDDR5 runs at 6400MT/s on the motherboard. Storage uses two M.2 2280 slots: one PCIe 4.0 x4 and one PCIe 4.0 x2. Minisforum rates each slot for drives up to 4TB. A drive in the x2 slot is still fast enough for games and media libraries, but its sequential speed tops out at about half of what a PCIe 4.0 x4 drive can reach. WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 come from the preinstalled wireless card.

Ryzen Z1 performance and cooling

The Ryzen Z1 is a 2023 AMD part with two Zen 4 cores and four compact Zen 4c cores, for six cores and twelve threads with a 16MB L3 cache. The Zen 4 cores boost to 4.9GHz and the Zen 4c cores to 3.5GHz. AMD rates it at 28W by default with a 9 to 30W configurable range, and Minisforum runs it at a sustained 35W in this machine, above AMD’s configurable range. The core layout matches the Ryzen 5 7545U in the MINISFORUM UM750L, and the two chips land close together on PassMark (about 18,300 for the Z1 against about 20,200 for the 7545U).

Minisforum quotes Cinebench R23 scores of 10,245 multi-core and 1,701 single-core, ahead of the Ryzen 5 5625U and 5600U. Those are Minisforum’s own figures. For a buyer in 2026 this is a mid-range laptop-class CPU: comfortable with office suites, many browser tabs, video calls, and light photo editing, and slower than current Ryzen AI and Core Ultra mini PCs.

The integrated AMD Radeon graphics use the RDNA 3 architecture with four compute units at up to 2.8GHz, the same configuration as the Radeon 740M. That is enough for video playback, esports titles, and older games at modest settings. It is well short of the 12-unit graphics in the Ryzen Z1 Extreme and the Radeon 780M, so new AAA games are out of reach. Cooling combines a CPU heatsink, a large fan, and phase-change thermal material, and Minisforum rates full-load noise below 40 decibels.

Who the UM750 Neo suits

The UM750 Neo fits a home office, a student desk, or a TV cabinet, where six Zen 4 class cores, triple 4K output, and USB4 cover the work. The one-cable USB4 power input is useful with a USB-C monitor that supplies 65W or more. The two storage slots make it easy to add a large second drive later.

The tradeoffs are the fixed 16GB of memory and the small integrated GPU. Anyone who runs virtual machines, keeps large creative projects open, or wants to play new games should look at a mini PC with socketed memory or stronger graphics.
