Lenovo IdeaCentre Mini x Gen 10 Snapdragon
Published on
The Lenovo IdeaCentre Mini x Gen 10 is a 1-liter Windows on Arm desktop for office work, browsing, and light creative jobs, built around Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X chips and a fixed 32GB of memory. It draws little power and stays small enough to sit under a monitor, and Lenovo put the power supply inside the case, so there is no external brick. Windows 11 runs natively on its Arm chip, but many games run through emulation, external GPUs do not work, and Linux has no easy install path yet. Buyers whose work lives in a browser, Office, and Arm-native apps get a compact box with a thick metal frame that Lon.TV found solid; anyone who needs x86-only software or gaming should look elsewhere.

Design, ports, and expansion
The case measures about 7.7 x 7.5 x 1.7 inches and weighs about 4 pounds, heavy for its size because the 150W power supply sits inside. Windows Central reports aluminum sides with plastic top and bottom covers, and the covers pop off to reach the SSD and the Wi-Fi card. The front carries the power button, a 10Gbps USB-A port, a 10Gbps USB-C port, and a combo audio jack. The rear holds a 40Gbps USB4 port with DisplayPort output, two 10Gbps USB-A ports, one USB 2.0 port, an HDMI port, DisplayPort 1.4a, and Gigabit Ethernet. Lenovo labels the HDMI port HDMI 2.1 TMDS, which means it runs at HDMI 2.0 bandwidth rather than the higher bandwidth of full HDMI 2.1. Lenovo rates the machine for three independent displays at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60Hz on each output.
The base Snapdragon X X1-26-100 has 8 cores at up to 3.0GHz and scores about 16,400 on PassMark’s CPU test. The Snapdragon X Plus X1P-64-100 in the 91B60000UT model has 10 cores at up to 3.4GHz and scores about 21,400. Both carry a 45 TOPS Hexagon NPU, which qualifies the machine as a Copilot+ PC, and Qualcomm Adreno integrated graphics. Memory is 32GB of dual-channel LPDDR5X-8448, which Qualcomm rates at up to 135GB/s of bandwidth, soldered to the board on every model. Qualcomm has since released the Snapdragon X2 family with 80 to 85 TOPS NPUs, so this machine uses the previous-generation platform.
Storage is a PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 2280 SSD, and Lenovo lists two M.2 SSD slots. Lon.TV found the open slot under the internal power supply, reached through the bottom panel. Wireless is a 2x2 Wi-Fi 7 card with Bluetooth 5.4 on the US models. Lenovo’s US models ship with a vertical stand, and Windows Central’s unit came with it in the box.
On Amazon, every configuration is sold and shipped by the reseller MichaelElectronics2. Its 512GB Windows 11 Home unit is Lenovo’s stock 91B6001PUT. The 1TB, 2TB, and Windows 11 Pro builds are units the reseller describes as professionally upgraded, with a one-year warranty handled through MichaelElectronics2. Lenovo sells the Snapdragon X Plus 91B60000UT on its own US store and showed the 91B6001PUT there as not yet available to order in October 2026.
Reviewer Insights
Windows Central
Zac Bowden at Windows Central used the Snapdragon X model with 32GB as his main desktop for two months and scored it 4.5 out of 5. He measured 96 single-core and 687 multi-core in Cinebench 2024, 2,137 and 10,828 in Geekbench 6, 9,780 in the Geekbench OpenCL GPU test, and 1,332 in CrossMark. His summary of the performance: “It’s a perfectly capable machine for most tasks, which is brilliant.” He placed it as a fit for office work, browsing, email, and media, with occasional light photo and video editing, and said it is not good at gaming or high-intensity creative work.
Bowden found the fan almost never audible. He wrote: “Still, I think it looks great sitting on my desk, and it’s cool and silent pretty much all of the time, meaning I forget it’s even there.” His comparison point was Apple’s desktop: “It’s the Mac Mini of the Windows world I’ve been waiting for, albeit slightly on the larger side compared to the Mac Mini M4.” His cons were configurations that vary by region, no SD card reader, a plastic top cover that picks up fingerprints, and no Snapdragon X Elite option. “If I have any complaints, it’s that I’d like to see more CPU options down the line.”
Lon.TV
Lon Seidman of Lon.TV tested the same X1-26-100 configuration on a loan unit from Lenovo. Browsing was quick, he expected Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to run fine, and he said: “So, I’m not concerned about doing low-end work on any of these arm machines.” The browser scored 28.1 in Speedometer. DaVinci Resolve’s Arm-native version played 4K60 cross dissolves in real time, while heavier effects rendered slowly. A small local language model ran well in LM Studio. YouTube playback at 4K60 in the browser dropped a noticeable number of frames, which he put down to drivers.
Power draw was about 5 to 7W at idle, about 35W with the CPU maxed out, and about 42W peak with the CPU and GPU loaded together. Games ran slowly. Cyberpunk 2077 ran at about 20fps at 1080p lowest settings in compatibility mode, and the 3DMark Wild Life score was 3,278. “Not something I would recommend for gamers, but you can boot up a number of popular Windows games, especially the older ones, and have a decent experience on it.”
Seidman and Bowden disagree on noise. On both units Seidman tested, the internal power supply’s fan ran at idle with an oscillating sound: “So, it’s not a completely silent PC like you would expect for an arm-based machine.” He also flagged Gigabit-only Ethernet and a USB4 port that cannot drive an external GPU, and he could not find an easy way to install Linux. His overall read: “The performance here is pretty good, especially for the things that we looked at.”
Who should buy the IdeaCentre Mini x
The IdeaCentre Mini x fits a desk where the work is browser tabs, Office, video calls, and Arm-native apps. Lon.TV ran a small language model in LM Studio without trouble, and every model has the same 32GB of memory, so there is no low-memory configuration to avoid. Buyers who want Lenovo as the seller can order the Snapdragon X Plus 91B60000UT from Lenovo’s own store; the larger Amazon builds are reseller upgrades.
Gamers, anyone who depends on x86-only software or drivers, and anyone planning to run Linux should skip it for now. An Intel or AMD mini PC with 2.5GbE and socketed memory serves those buyers better; Lenovo’s ThinkCentre neo 50q Gen 5 is one same-brand option. To compare more machines, use Starry Hope’s Mini PC Comparison Chart.

Frequently Asked Questions
What processor does the Lenovo IdeaCentre Mini x use?
Most models use the Qualcomm Snapdragon X X1-26-100, an 8-core Arm chip that runs at up to 3.0GHz and scores about 16,400 on PassMark’s CPU benchmark. Lenovo also sells a model (91B60000UT) with the 10-core Snapdragon X Plus X1P-64-100 at up to 3.4GHz, which scores about 21,400. Both have a 45 TOPS NPU and Qualcomm Adreno graphics.
Can I upgrade the RAM in the IdeaCentre Mini x?
No. Every model has 32GB of LPDDR5X-8448 soldered to the board, and it cannot be replaced or added to. Storage can be upgraded: the SSD is a standard M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 drive, and a second M.2 slot sits under the internal power supply.
What ports does the IdeaCentre Mini x have?
The front has a 10Gbps USB-C port, a 10Gbps USB-A port, and a combo audio jack. The rear has a 40Gbps USB4 port with DisplayPort output, two 10Gbps USB-A ports, one USB 2.0 port, an HDMI port that runs at HDMI 2.0 bandwidth (Lenovo calls it HDMI 2.1 TMDS), DisplayPort 1.4a, and Gigabit Ethernet. There is no SD card reader.
How many monitors can the IdeaCentre Mini x run?
Three. Lenovo rates HDMI, DisplayPort, and the rear USB4 port for up to 4096 x 2160 at 60Hz each, and all three can run at the same time.
Is the IdeaCentre Mini x good for gaming?
No. Many Windows games are not built for Arm and run in compatibility mode. Lon.TV measured about 20fps in Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p lowest settings, and older or lighter games run better. External GPUs are not supported over the USB4 port.
Can the IdeaCentre Mini x run Linux?
Not easily. When Lon.TV reviewed it in 2026, there was no straightforward way to install Linux on it, so plan on Windows 11 on Arm.
Is the IdeaCentre Mini x quiet?
Reviewers disagree. Windows Central heard the fan only during benchmarks. Lon.TV heard the internal power supply fan at idle on both of its units, with an oscillating sound, while the CPU fan stayed off until heavy sustained load.
What comes in the box with the IdeaCentre Mini x?
The mini PC and a power cord, plus a vertical stand on Lenovo’s US models. The 150W power supply is built into the case, so there is no external adapter. A keyboard, mouse, and monitor are sold separately.
