TOPGRO T1-Pro
Published on
The TOPGRO T1-Pro is a gaming mini PC built from laptop parts: a 13th-generation Intel Core i9 and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU on one board, standing upright in a tower about 1.6 inches thick. It suits someone who wants 1080p gaming and GPU-accelerated creative work from a box that fits beside a monitor or under a desk, and who can accept fan noise under load. The black model carries the 24-core Core i9-13900HX, while the gray, white, and pink models carry the 14-core Core i9-13900HK with a different set of display outputs. TOPGRO is a small brand that sells through Amazon, and owners describe support handled over WhatsApp, with mixed results.

A gaming laptop board in a 1.6-inch tower
The T1-Pro measures about 10.2 by 11.8 inches and 1.6 inches thick, and TOPGRO gives its net weight as about 3.1 pounds. It stands upright on an angled foot, with faceted side panels and a honeycomb mesh strip down the front edge that holds an RGB light bar, the power button, and two USB 2.0 ports. Two small switches at the bottom of the rear panel set the fan speed and turn the light strip on or off. Dual fans move air through vents in the top and the mesh edge, and the 2.5-inch drive bay and two SATA cables in the box let you add a SATA SSD or hard drive beside the M.2 storage.
The rear panel on the black Core i9-13900HX model holds microphone and headphone jacks, a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port, four USB 3.0 Type-A ports, one HDMI 2.0 port, one DisplayPort 1.4 output, a USB-C port, and the DC input. TOPGRO lists that USB-C port as data only, equivalent to USB 3.0, so the black model drives two displays at 4K 60Hz. The Core i9-13900HK models trade the DisplayPort for a second HDMI 2.0 port and give the USB-C port DisplayPort output, which allows a third screen. Wireless runs on WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 on both versions.
Two Core i9 chips under one name
The black model’s Core i9-13900HX has 8 performance cores and 16 efficient cores, and it posts a PassMark CPU Mark of about 41,420. The Core i9-13900HK in the other colors has 6 performance cores and 8 efficient cores and scores about 27,195, so the black model has roughly half again as much multi-core throughput for compiling, encoding, and rendering work. Both chips reach 5.4GHz on a single core, so the gap matters far less in games, where the GPU sets the pace. Intel launched both chips in January 2023. Neither has an NPU, so local AI work on this machine runs on the RTX 4060 rather than on the processor.
The RTX 4060 Laptop GPU has 3,072 CUDA cores and 8GB of GDDR6, and TOPGRO rates it at 70W in this chassis. NVIDIA allows laptop makers to run this GPU at up to 115W, so expect frame rates below a full-power laptop 4060 in demanding games. The GPU supports DLSS 3 frame generation and ray tracing, and its 8GB of memory sets the ceiling for local AI models that run on it. The graphics chip is soldered to the board, so it cannot be upgraded later.
Both versions ship with 32GB of DDR5 in two SO-DIMM slots and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. TOPGRO lists 64GB as the memory ceiling. Of the two M.2 2280 slots, one runs at PCIe 4.0 x4 and the other takes a PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe or SATA drive, and the 2.5-inch bay adds a third drive.
Customer Reviews
On Amazon, the T1-Pro holds 4.0 out of 5 stars from 52 ratings, shared across all four colors, and 20 percent of those ratings are one star.
Owners who game on it comment on the fan under load. Arman, who uses it for software engineering and some gaming, wrote: “Be aware, that technically this PC is gaming laptop without screen, all hardware are from laptops.” He added that “under high-load fans become very noisy.” .ravensong reported “I am able to run Elden Ring at 60 fps with all settings on high (not Maximum) with ray tracing also set to high,” and said of the fan, “It is pretty loud, but seems to stay cool enough.” Heidi Nicole, who replaced a docked gaming laptop with it, found that under heavier use “the fan runs; but the noise level is not overwhelming.”
Two owners added storage. John Turi wrote “I added another 4tb M.2 drive in the available internal slot,” and .ravensong added a 2TB SSD that the machine recognized right away.
Two one-star reviewers describe hardware faults. Jeff Johnson wrote “we’ve had a bad network card since we got it” and said he could not reach the company. That White Guy said “it just restarts from overheating after 4 hours of fairly light gaming.” Other owners list smaller problems: .ravensong wrote “I have not been able to get HDR working,” and Altruce Ashe, otherwise happy, reported that the light unit has no grip on its base and “slides around VERY easily,” and fixed it with rubber pads.
Who should buy it
The T1-Pro fits someone who wants 1080p gaming and GPU-accelerated creative work from a box that stands beside a monitor. Its RTX 4060 Laptop GPU has 8GB of memory, and one owner runs Elden Ring at 60 fps on high settings with ray tracing. Pick the black Core i9-13900HX model for compiling, encoding, and rendering, or a Core i9-13900HK model for a third display.
Skip it if loud fans under load would bother you, or if you want dependable support: owners describe help over WhatsApp with mixed results, plus a faulty network card and overheating restarts. For a newer GPU, the Minisforum AtomMan G1 Pro pairs a Ryzen 9 8945HX with a low-profile desktop RTX 5060 and a replaceable GPU, and the ASUS ROG GR70 pairs a Ryzen 9 9955HX3D with an RTX 5070 Laptop GPU. Frequently Asked Questions
Is the TOPGRO T2-Pro the same machine as the T1-Pro?
No. The T2-Pro uses the same Core i9 and RTX 4060 class of parts, but TOPGRO builds it in a separate metal-bodied chassis that is shorter and thicker, about 8.5 by 9.3 inches and 1.8 inches thick. It is sold as its own model.
Does the TOPGRO T1-Pro come with Windows?
Yes. It ships with Windows 11 Pro installed and licensed, and the box includes a USB recovery drive for reinstalling it. One owner whose unit locked up and would not boot got it running again by reinstalling Windows with help from TOPGRO support.
What is the most storage the T1-Pro can hold?
TOPGRO rates each M.2 slot for drives up to 4TB, for 8TB across the two slots. The 2.5-inch bay takes one more SATA SSD or hard drive on top of that, connected with the SATA cables in the box.
